Long Time No See
After nearly four years, I saw her again today.
It's weird how the mind can concoct bizarre scenarios and inexplicable feelings when dealing with a mental manifestation of something, but when you have the living breathing version standing in front of you, you can only manage to strike up the usual “how are things?” conversation and just be happy to see someone from the past.
In other words, not all that bizarre or inexplicable at all.
I'm going to try to not dwell on the ramifications of this for too long, because I can already sense the return of the overthinking-induced weirdness, but just say that I'm happy to see her again. Although I'm not sure if I want to repeat the experience any time soon, for the sake of not getting into psychological overload.
