Back on Taiwan, Sparks Fly
A summary of the effects of the KMT visit to the mainland (links are Chinese, but there's not much more substance to these stories besides what I've told you):
The CCP is inviting KMT chairman Lien Chan to visit the mainland, an invitation that Lien is “graciously accepting.”
PFP chairman James Soong is welcome too. The PFP, though, thinks that a visit is premature.
A-Bian isn't happy and chides the KMT for finding consensus with the CCP before finding consensus on the island, and negotiating with the CCP without ROC government permission. Some DPP legislators are going further, asking for legal prosecution of KMT vice-chairman Chiang Pin-kun (who led the delegation) for treason.
The KMT fires back, daring the DPP to declare a state of emergency, round up everyone that went on the mainland visit, and go to war, if it finds the mainland to be such a dangerous enemy.
