Two Years Ago, A New Chapter

It has been two years since the start of the invasion of Iraq, when the Bush doctrine truly came into its own, beyond a narrow tit-for-tat contest with the terrorists. Things weren't what most people expected, both good (thankfully the WMD programs weren't anywhere near the worst-case scenarios) and bad (Iraqi insurgents discovered that they enjoy self-detonation in front of UN buildings, police stations, etc.). But overall, I think at least some of us are happy for the progress:

A salute to the men and women of the Coalition forces who fought and sacrificed for today's progress, and the Iraqi people for their bravery in the dawn of their new era.
