It's Official

Tung resigns. I just finished watching the press conference webcast: it was the expected mix of dumb naive questions and spin answers. And yet, one can't help but feel at least a bit sorry for the guy, someone who probably stumbled into his role as the first post-1997 chief exec, stumbled through it, and stumbled out of it. The people asking whether he was pushed out are missing the point: Tung was probably kept at his post far after he realized that he wanted to get out of it.
