Reciprocity Not Expected

Israel released 500 Palestinian prisoners, many of which are “men convicted by military courts of crimes including shootings, possession of weapons, or ties to terrorist organizations.” Whether such unilateral acts of “friendship” will help matters is, at best, hard to say. After all, a look at the other decade-long “peace process” suggests that one side, the side that targets civilians to get its way, have old habits that die hard.
