PMPM's Beijing Gaffes
Maybe it's the water, but whenever anyone sets foot in any part of China, their political savvy plummets and they talk like idiots. Canadians are not excempt.
Evidently our prime minister can be mustered into defending the rights of same-sex pairs to obtain marriage licenses from the state, but not the rights of people not to get thrown in jail for distributing literary magazines. And evidently the Conservatives are making a red herring out of the polygamy-homogamy link, despite the fact that it's the government that's studying whether the Charter is going to redefine marriage again.
I'd be even more ashamed of my Canadian identity, if not for the excellent character of such people as Jason Kenney. So perhaps it isn't the water after all... ....
